Amid destruction, the Whitsundays Reef’s iconic heart still beats, luckily escaping Cyclone Debbie, which smashed coral just 18km away at Bait Reef. With the rise of underwater heat waves caused by climate change, WWF are encouraging Australian’s to make greater action to save the reef from fatal bleaching and crisis.
